I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD Offroad 4 door short bed truck
This truck came with a factory tonneau cover.
First of all I changed out the factory tires after 2000 miles. I put on an Lt 265 75 R16 10 ply Tire. Got rid of the passenger tires P265 70 R16 that came on the truck.
What I have installed so far on my truck is the Toyota factory cold air intake, throttlebody extension, 4 inch Catback exhaust with a 5 inch exhaust tip.
I had the dealer install a factory roof rack. I did install black running board steps. Nice feature for the Toyota. I did get a engine block heater out of Canda for the cold weather in Idaho sometimes.
Installed led light on the factory fog lights. This made a big difference.
Installed mud flaps from dealer and weathertect front an back matts.
I put a Weatherguard tool chest in the front of the bed. On the outside of tool box I mounted a 4ft handyman man jack. An also the factory side rails tie downs, I installed a bracket that will hold an ax an shovel.
With the chest I have engin fluid like oil, power steering fluid an brake fluid.
Jumper cables, tried chains,10x16 trap, 25ft two strap with 2 4ton cleaves an a 6ft strap. And also insulated coat an coveralls.
I did put seat covers on the front seats just to save them.
I also installed a 30 inch led light bar in the grill with a light
Switch botton made for one of the knock out plugs on the lower left side of dash. Went to Boise spring works in Boise Id and upgraded the rear springs by adding 3 leff springs. This did not change the ride at all.
Also installed a pedal command throttle response, this made a big difference on the get up and go. It has four drive modes. This pickup has a tow package with it. So next I did a break controller recumend by the Toyota dealership.
I use the truck to haul my trailers like my ATV, boat, and covered trialer.
I save my 2016 FORD F350 LARIAT diesel for my 35 ft 5th wheel.
This Toyota save alot of miles instead of putting them on my Ford.
I find driving it while towing having it in 4th gear going 55 or more, keep it from shifting back an forth on the transmission. I did buy a B&W 5ton rated adjustable hitch with the 2 combination in 1-7/8 an 2 inch. This is a grate hitch.
