Bug deflector install question

I've installed a handfull of thes in the past on conventional hood/grill vehicles with the old drill & screw process. Just got a 2014 Tacoma and ordered an AVS bugsheild for it. My questions are: 1, is any hood clearance adjustment normally needed since the grill surround wraps over the top on the grill & integrates into the hood. 2, how well do the fastening grommets that insert into the factory holes in the underside of the hood work. Done several other vehicles but this new tacoma has me proceeding cautiously.

Thanks for any help!

Mine didn't need any adjustment, and the factory holes work fine. Mine has been on for more than a year now and no problems and all types of weather and road conditions it's been exposed to.
No worries

all done

all went well except the 2 plastic push pin body fasteners (maybe3/8") were a little too short. had some 1/2" ones in my "stuff" & it all worked out fine

installed my deflector with no problems about 2 mnths after purchasing truck back in 2008, been thru all kinds of weather etc  works like a charm!!
