Hey, I'm Paul. We have owned several Toyotas over the years, but this is my first Tacoma. Just got a new 2022 SR5 Double Cab 2X4 with the short bed. Already have some accessories on order, but hoping to learn more about the Tacome so I can get the most enjoyment out of it!

Welcome paul, My first tacoma also, but i learned in the past with several toyota's owned...if you want the longest enjoyment, leave them stock as much as possible. Its fine to add a bed mat, and seat covers. Ceramic paint protection, and under coating on these trucks are highly recommended.
 
Thank you! I plan on leaving it pretty much stock. I have already purchased and installed the Toyota Bed Mat and All Weather Floor Mats. I have a Tonneau Cover and the Pop & Lock automatic Tailgate Lock on order and plan on adding a set of Mud Flaps, but that's about it for major additions! When it comes time for new tires, I'd like to up size to some 265/70-16's since they are a bit wider but overall diameter is not that different, so the speedometer should not be affected too much.

I'm running those tires right now on my sr5. They don't seem much different than the stock ones that were 245/75 16's when it came to the speedo. When i ordered my truck in 2020 i asked for the bed mat, tonneau cover, the those floor mats, the sill protectors, plus the power sliding rear window that didn't come on the access cab.
