I've ran Mobil 1, Amsoil and Royal Purple but now exclusively Amsoil but always changed every 5K miles. Any off the shelf oil of the correct viscosity will work fine.

The proper way to measure fuel economy is with a full tank because you know the starting gallons. 17 city is possible though.

Toyota dropped the mechanical LSD in 2009 for the Taco. It's open. If you needed it, there would be an LSD oil sticker on the pumpkin. I never used the shims for mine. I had vibration before lifting. LOL!

It all looks good. I never used the axle shim for my rear lift (Wheeler's progressive AAL). You won't need the front diff drop and no need for LSD oil on either diff. ALSD on 09 and up trucks is brake actuated, not a mechanical LSD. Most on the shelf oil has some mixed in but it won't hurt anything.

Hate to break it to you but nothing you add will improve mileage. Just maintain the vehicle so it's running in top condition and change your driving habits.

I haven't had the controls open on any Taco but I'm guessing it's all one circuit board so it can't easily be turned. You can however change what the buttons do when you use a iDatalink Maestro unit with an aftermarket headunit.

AC is not sucking down that much mileage.

It's really meant for towing so it makes sense that it would keep the trans out of high gear to keep it from hunting which creates heat. It's in now way a performance enhancement to a non performance vehicle.

I want to see those too. I don't believe there is a power increase all with the button. Toyota would brag about it if there was.

A tune would change throttle characteristics in the vehicle's regular mode which would allow for 6th. It would also increase engine power output. ECT itself doesn't increase power.
