    Trd OR or trd pro

I've ONLY got the tech package on my manual one. Leather seats would have been nice.

    Paint/Clear Coat Blemishes? 2018 OR

Probably not an issue. They said it's common in cold climates on cars that hadn't been on the lot for very long (my 18 was only on the lot for 5 days, and was built less than a month earlier). They said during spring/summer/fall, the natural heat causes the adhesive to outgas faster, thus...

    Looking at 2016-2018 Tacomas

At 42k for a 2017, it should have been a TRD Pro. A 2017 (still new) TRD Off-Road should be around 34ish. Although my dealer nearby has them at like 33. New 2018 ORs are ~36k. I bet you can walk in to a dealer with left over 2017s and they'll make you a deal with a few extra parts thrown in to...

You can get a brand new left over 2017 for pretty close to that. Could also probably get a 2018 for around 35k if you haggle a bit. Maybe show up with a large down payment or something.

    Paint/Clear Coat Blemishes? 2018 OR

Not to mention it was PERFECTLY smooth to the touch.

    Paint/Clear Coat Blemishes? 2018 OR

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I hit it with a clay bar, soap, water, you name it. No change. Dealer said it was left over residue from the wrap they put on the hood/roof during shipping. Said it's common on new cars in cold climates.

    Paint/Clear Coat Blemishes? 2018 OR

Yeah, that's exactly how mine looked (except less noticeable with my red paint). Dealer had it squared away in about 30 minutes.

Also, the rims are wrong for a Pro (unless they've been swapped). Pro's have very similar looking wheels, but are 16s, not 17s. And the little U shape things at the end of each spoke is slightly different on the Pro Taco.

I guess now that we know it's not a pro, can we have a link to see how much they want for this 'pro'?

    General 2016 questions

I dunno, it's like maybe $6 (.30 cents X 20 gallons) more per tank? Just skip your Starbucks/whatever the day you fill up.

    General 2016 questions

I've got the same setup as you, also with a manual, and I average 18 to 19mpg. Shifting around 2ish K. But, I only use 91. Not saying that's it, but I'm sure it helps.

    Little update

Only issue might be aftermarket mats that make use of those little clips. Not sure there are any (haven't looked). So if you do go that route, you might be stuck using the stock all-weather mats (which I think actually work quite well)

    Little update

I think they are just anchored to the carpet. Could probably get the P/N for them from Toyota and install them yourself. My guess is that there is a top and bottom half that clip together. Pull the carpet up enough to get your hand under there from the door side, cut a hole for it to pope...

I think so. Which is why there are huge warning stickers on the factory floor mats on the 18 Tacos that say not to put any other floor mats on top of the factory ones. Its even imprinted in each floor mat itself.

    Little update

That's a good question. I guess Toyota is making a big deal now about proper usage and install of floor mats. In fact, I think in the stack of manuals that came with my Taco, there is a small one specifically for the floor mats alone. (I'll check next time I'm near the glove box).
