That should be fine. Your exhaust diameter is a true 2.25. I got a muffler with a 2.5 in/outlet and it works fine. Any muffler shop will be able to get you a good fit. They shouldn't have to bend the pipe unless you got a muffler with an offset inlet pipe instead of center.

Most brands of ratchet straps will do just fine for your needs. I'd go with the middle of the road medium duty straps, no need for the heavy duty kind. I also recommend tarp straps over the generic bungee cords. Much more flex and stronger.
