I wonder if the rust in the cooling system 'tells' the sensor that the engine is overheated and prevents the engine from starting and causing more damage?

Probably a dumb question. I notice on the Pedal Commander website they mention that the unit is Bluetooth capable. Does the pedal commander come with a program that you download on your phone, or do you have to go to their website to get the program?

I took those push pins out when I undercoated my frame when I first bought my truck. They were HARD to remove with the correct tool. Either undersized push pins or oversized holes is my guess Best of luck and keep us posted.

They're breaking your balls about that rubber splash shield? That's a new low. I thought you meant the wheel well trim. I would write a letter to Toyota and include the pictures. Probably the holes in the frame for the push pins are too large.

I wrote to Ford about the dealer saying the defects in the paint were too small and the scam with the brakes. Ford ignored the brake scam and said that the dealers have final say on the repainting of the trucks. I sold the truck six months later and that was my last Ford vehicle.

I'm not saying that the above poster did this, but I can show my truck getting 40+ mpg. Run the truck until you have about a quarter tank of gas or less. Get $5 worth of gas. This resets the mpg per tank to zero. Find a flat road with no traffic and go 40-45 mpg for about half an hour, then...

Top tier refers to the additive package in the gasoline, not the octane rating. Think of it as cheap insurance against clogged injectors.

You could hook a VOM to your battery and have someone watch the meter while cranking the engine. If the voltage drops excessively, it could give you your problem. Off the top of my head, 9 volts or below is an excessive voltage drop.

Hell, I would forego the hood springs and the glove compartment light for a damn dipstick for the auto trans.
