These are simple problems that do not make or break getting rid of the vehicle. This is just something you should put the money into right now. I had to replace all of that stuff on my Silverado before it hit 50,000 miles. Put the money into it.

LEDS don't need the boxes when you replace regular bulbs for reverse, stop, or always on bulbs; but none that flash.

LED turn signals will cause the lights to flash fast because of the low power draw. You have to install black boxes to each set of lights. Damn. My mind just went blank on the name of them. They can be bought online anywhere. Resistors maybe. I'm getting old I think!

If the package states it has one, and you don't have buttons on it; you need to contact the dealer. The temp gauge is in the mirror and can be turned on or off using the buttons.

Not sure. It may be grease to keep it from rusting inside. Maybe have to contact a shop and ask. My 22 year old nephew did it, but haven't seen him in over a year to ask him. Sorry. I had a mechanic mess with it and he couldn't fix it. This kid fixed it all by himself! I guess they do tend to...

I had that problem too. All he did was remove the sensor and clean inside the hole. It worked.

The dealer told me it would cost $400 total for putting mirrors with signals on.

I used to own a Silverado up until a year ago. When I got my Taco, to me, it seemed just as high off the ground as the Chevy. I like that. I do have the same tires as the Chevy; 265-75-16's. As soon as I get some extra money, I'm going to do that 5100 lift.
