Sorry I haven't updated in a while, the truck is completely drivable right now tho, and I love it. I finally got a weber 32/36 carb and it's great, starts up faster than my 08 taco does!
Yeah that's what you get for a mid size, if you want a lot more room get a full size. I drive around with 5 full sized people in my truck all the time and they don't ever complain so. I'm happy with it
So after jacking the truck up I found that the passenger side wheel bearing is TRASHED and the driver is not far behind it so I went and picked these up for 200 bucks
I'm pulling the diff and I guess I will re build it myself this time. He told me something like my truck has a better diff in it than the normal ones, that they only put this diff in a couple trucks. Do you know anything about that?
So my front diff on my 08 Tacoma was leaking last summer so I had it re build and paid 550 bucks for that. Now I was just driving down the road and it started making some weird noises and I could feel it grinding. So I got home and drained the oil from it and it was a weird color grey. So I'm...
If you put in a locker you will have to remove the limited slip chunk. I have always liked arb air lockers, that's what I would put on my truck if I put a locker on it
So recently my 4x4 light stays on the whole time I'm driving, and when I switch it to 4x4 it stays blinking and won't go into 4x4, any ideas what the problem could be? 2008 double cab
Front brakes on 2nd gens are very easy to change, because you can just slide the pads out with out having to pull the caliper. I'm not sure about 1st gens but my 79 is the same way
Working on some rock sliders tonight, I am just making some temporary ones until I can get the dyes to make them out of pipe, I got all this material for free. Here are some more pictures as well. And thanks guys!!
