    Taco Tires

I paid about $660 for a set of 4 Firestone Destination A/T 245's back in Jan this yr. I got a buy 3 get 1 free deal. Also, used Firestone card and got a 5% discount and 6 months no interest if paid off by July, which I did. I was happy. Next set I buy will be the 265's. Also, I have a stick &...

    Your local weather

Not that far south, in Kansas. I'm sure by now it's icing over outside. Roads up North, about 90 miles from here are getting slick according to this news reports earlier. I haven't ventured out since I 1st posted...

    Taco Tires

Good point about the sand TJ! I don't buy much of it since the bags of dirt do me double duty. Good for winter and then after fill holes in the yard. I don't want to fill yard holes with sand. Something else you can use is river gravel, again 40# bags. I've done both, if a bag rips...

    Taco Tires

Changeling you could do what I do. Just go to Home Depot and buy 40# bags of dirt. The cheapest you can find, about $1.25 a bag each here. I use about 6, plus 1, 70# bag of sand for winter. You could also use bags of cat litter. <-----this can be used for traction if stuck, just throw some...

Brand Spanking new purchase ! :)

Welcome from Kansas! I too use to live in Southern Cali. Santa Monica, Culver City, (went to school there), & Glendale. Lived across the street from MGM studio. I was pretty much all over LA. I don't miss the smog or the traffic. :glare:

    What is this for?

Couldn't tell ya Tacoma Fan, if I dig around on the net I might be able to find out. As you can see I don't sport any of that. All I have there is the extra 12V outlet that I installed and if you follow the red wire you can see the mini 10 amp fuse I installed since it's directly wired to the...

    Recommendations on remote starts.

Be hard for me to use one since I have a manual transmission. I use the E brake but since they are known to fail I also put it in reverse when I park it. I'm not saying Yoda's E brake's fail, just that I don't trust leaving my truck in neutral while leaving it unattended. In order to use a...

    What is this for?

Thanks Whipper. Only other thing that looks different is the small rectangular box that sits behind it. Don't recall seeing it on mine. Other than that pretty much a duplicate of mine. Even has the 2 holes drilled & tapped in the driver side fender behind the fusebox.

    What is this for?

I don't have that under my hood. Just an empty area so that's where I put an extra 12V outlet. So I don't hear any noises after I shut her down. Must be something they put on newer Taco's.

    2005 rusty frames

LOL! That's because a glock is mostly made of a high-strength nylon-based polymer. Also what metal there is has Tenifer treatment which protects the metal even if the decorative surface finish wears off. It's almost a true plastic gun. My Taurus Millennium Pro PT745 is similar in design material.

    Tacoma Whistle

Only whistle I've heard is when a strong cross wind happens. Not from the windshield but from the back access doors around the top. Not to concerned with it only hear it once in a blue moon and only when sitting still, never driving.

    Taco Tires

The set I bought for my PreRunner in '08 were still in good shape in '12 when Toyota bought it back. So when I got this newer Taco, 1st thing was to buy a new set. 2 months later we got 24 inches of snow. Drove around without a problem in the white stuff. Very pleased! With a little weight in...

    new here & to Tacoma's - new 2014 - Upstate SC

No surgery. I was a candidate for it a few years ago but have gotten much worse so they only recommend pain management now. I've had 4 sets of epidural steroid shots done since '91. Besides, I wouldn't trust anyone with a blade digging around the base of my spinal cord. I can deal with a needle...

    Taco Tires

These are awesome in snow. Been running these since '08. Ice is ice, doesn't matter what tires you have still slick.

    2005-2011 access cab owners

That's the plan if it loosens up again. The blue loctite & teflon tape around the threads should keep it from vibrating loose again. That and torquing it down to 100 ft lbs should take care of any future issues.
