    new here & to Tacoma's - new 2014 - Upstate SC

Sweet lookin truck! Welcome to the forum! As a fellow Quinquagenarian (just turned) you won't be disappointed in your choice of vehicle. I too am lucky not to be in a self propelled body cart and enjoy the comfort my Taco affords me. My '06 has the adjustable lumbar support so when...

    2005-2011 access cab owners

From an article posted last year! Tim Duncan made $13,035 per minute this year, making him the highest paid player in the NBA in terms of "per minute" play. Welding it on will take care of any vibration loosening.

    2005-2011 access cab owners

 I won't have a problem, Toyota will have a problem since it is their recall issue. Since the letter says any repair done by the owner that doesn't hold will be reimbursed if not done at Toyota, I wonder what I will get back if it fails again. I used a little blue & a couple of...

Because blue was all I had onhand. Didn't feel like driving somewhere just to get red. I smothered the bolt with blue, screwed it in, then back out, wrapped it with teflon tape, added more blue and then torqued it down to 100 ft lbs so it should stay tight.

How annoying, noticed my belt was coming loose again so this time a little more permanent fix. Loctite blue, teflon tape, 14mm socket, torque wrench & torque that puppy down to 100 lbs. Took 5 mins to do. If it comes loose again I'll take it in and say your turn Toyota. I do have the recall letter.

    Camping

Nothing beats camping on the beach! Been to Cape Lookout Point just west of Portland, Oregon yrs ago & spent 2 weeks on North Captiva Island (private island) just off of Fort Myers, Florida (gulf side) with the ex-misses in 2002. Glad we had several beach towels for the adult fun we had on the...

    Finally Ordered

Nice! Look forward to seeing pics when you get it. And as Whipper said, ignore the jabs. Taco's are great trucks. Dependable! Built in USA by American workers. The only reason they are jabbing you is they are jealous that they couldn't afford one. If they give you to much flack just say Toyota...

Proud Tacoma Owner, New to Forum from Lewisville, TX.

Nice looking truck! However, I agree with Whipper, I too want my Taco to be level and waiting to have time to buy and install 5100's. After reading about spacers I won't go that route. You don't have to be offroading to bend a shock like that, a pothole or curb can do that just as well using...

    Best Alarm?

You can also add an electric fuel cutoff valve, hidden deadman's switch and park in a fenced yard with a couple of very large aggressive dogs to slow down any thief. You could in a pinch put a claymore mine field around your truck if necessary. Just be careful where you step. Bear traps come to...
