    coolant change

Don't see why you can't do it yourself, flush it then refill with Toyota antifreeze. Toyota Pink factory fill 10years/100,000 miles service drain/refill every 50,000 miles after. Toyota Red 2years/25,000 miles. I did my '00 PreRunner when it started running hot years ago. No problem after that.

    Wheels and Calipers

I would go with 6 coats or more for protection against rock chips if using the derp. Also, let it cure a few days before driving. When I painted my rims I used in this order: 2 coats self etching primer (rust-oleum) 4 coats semi gloss black (rust-oleum) 3 coats rust tough flat black enamel...

What have you done to your Tacoma today?

Sorry no write up on it. It wasn't that hard reassemble the reverse of how you take it apart. I did it in one evening. Let the paint dry overnight reinstalled the next morning.

    Wheels and Calipers

My 2¢ is I used real paint for my rims. I also used derp for my emblems. The derp was ok for them however, having 4 coats of derp on them and once you get any peel you have to peel it all off or you will have uneven layers. The derp is fine for the emblems since your working with a small area...

    2001 problems

Wrenching yourself is the cheapest way to keep your truck running. Also, when buying parts, spend a little extra for life time warranty parts. That way if it goes out again it's no cost to replace. Just your labor. If you have to take it in for repair, I did for my front end alignment, I got...

    2005 rusty frames

No problem Bodacious, I also understand your position, I had a '00 PreRunner that I did lose to a rusty frame. As long as your aware of the issue you can take steps to prevent it. These trucks are great trucks. As with any manmade object they do have their issues. Your well ahead of the pack if...

    Turn Signal Issue

Did you happen to notice if this dash light was on? And while your checking your fluid you might want to check those muffler bearings, they have a repair kit for them. They also make an aftermarket gauge so you won't have to check them as often.

    2005 rusty frames

Who said anything about doing all that every few weeks? My truck is pushing 8 yrs now. As far as I can tell, nothing has ever been done to the frame since it rolled off the factory. I bought it in Jan this yr. What I've done was sand down what little surface rust there was on my frame...
