Never done it, don't have one but I understand you just solder the ends back.

Common problem with those. You might want to re-solder both '510's' and all 3 '181's'

    2005 Tacoma whoas

You might need to clean your throttle body, could be gummed up. My mom's little yoda's was and she just recently had it done at Toyota. She said it started running rough a few days ago and took it in. It was gummed up pretty bad the flapper wouldn't close on it. Runs like a champ now. The...

Right on Hella! Well worth the wait. Nice to have a little bling on the truck. I get alot of comps on them. I've seen one other set on a 4runner here in town. And a bud of mine has one for his Tundra he just hasn't put it on yet. My other favorite mod is rcbs204's 4x4...

    Tailgate Theft Mod

That's the whole point to doing this cheap mod. Doesn't cost a lot but gives you a little peace of mind. That's why I used the key clamp. You can't use a screwdriver on them, they aren't cut for it. The key pops off after your done tightening it down and the head is a odd shape...

    Tailgate Theft Mod

Hella, neither one of these mods will stop a determined thief, but it will slow one down. The clamp can be wiggled off, I was able to do that with mine after I took the cable off, the washer prevents the cable from being taken off so in effect slows them down. For about $3 it's better than...

    Tailgate Theft Mod

It's the times dude. With the economy in the dumps people will steal anything to make a buck. I remember back in the '80's when aluminum prices shot up and I was looking for a bell-housing for my Chevelle which are made of aluminum. Well the junkyards were hit and most were stolen to be melted...

    Tailgate Theft Mod

Stainless Steel washer from ACE Hardware. I took the hex screw in with me to get the size that fit it. Cost about 15 cents. And then used locktite on the screw since you can't tighten it down all the way or the cable will bind. Edit OreCoastie doesn't have the washer on his cable where it...

    Tailgate Theft Mod

 I thought maybe your Taco was made in London or the DC cab was different for some reason. No big deal, I hope OffroadTaco4x4 rereads this thread and not put a clamp on the drivers side. I can see it now he has the clamp on drivers side and walks out the next morning to a...

    Tailgate Theft Mod

Driver side has full cup, passenger side has the cut out for removal so to prevent theft you install a key hose clamp 3/4~1 3/4 in to prevent theft but you also need to do the washer mod on the check strap since you can still wiggle the tailgate off with the clamp in place. washer mod

    Tacoma Faulty Seatbelt Recall

Mine actually fell apart. I just put the screw back in and tightened her down. Guess, I'll take her in and have that fixed.....sometime on my day off. Happened on the driver side. Still tight but you can tell it's working loose again. I was like WTF after I had owned it about 3 weeks, the...

    Problem with starter/solenoid... I think.

Yeah I had to do that with my Chevelle, it would click and I'd crawl under and bang on it with a hammer till it clicked again and then it cranked over. Only did it once in a blue moon. What it was doing was the starter gear was jamming into the flywheel teeth and hammering on it would release it.

    2006 Front bumper cover

Couldn't tell ya how to remove or replace, never done one. Good luck, at least you got a good deal and hopefully a color match. The diagram should help some at least it shows where the screws and other stuff are. Some items in the diagram are for the X-Runner which you could probably ignore...

    Problem with starter/solenoid... I think.

Hum....could be a number of things. Cables corroded/loose at starting circuit. Tranny not engaged in park for auto, clutch not depressed all the way in for manual. Starter jammed in flywheel ring gear. Remove and inspect. Starter solenoid out. Starter bad. Remove and have tested at...
