$1000 for a fuel pump!!! Wow!!!! I guess I've been lucky with my vehicles so far, the last time I replaced a fuel pump was about 15 years ago and it was about $400 if I remember, I know it wasn't $1000!!! Usually I trade in before that stuff starts to go, I was planning on keeping this one though!
Are parts a lot more? I've always owned domestic, so I have no clue. Probably should have researched further before I bought, but, to late now I guess! lol!
I was always told that repair costs for imports cost a lot more then domestic. I realize the Tacoma is made in the U.S.A.,but it's still considered an import. Just wondering what I can expect to pay for maintenance once my warranty expires, as opposed to the Chevy I traded in for it.
Just curious because, I remember reading somewhere, that it's able to handle the same payload as the previous model, that had leaf springs. I was surprised to hear that.I was under the impression that leaf springs were best for payload.
Not sure exactly. I heard the new Ram truck had multi link suspension in the rear, and I know most trucks depend on rear leafs.I was just asking if everyone thought a multi link, like the new Ram is using, is a good idea or bad.
Just curious as to what everyone thinks of a multi link suspension in the rear of a pickup(like the kind the 2013 Ram is using) Better then leaf springs? Worse? Supposedly it can handle the same payload as leaf springs, but offers a better ride. What does everyone think?
I know, that's what I'm trying to say! People always say, you paid to much for that small truck, you could have gotten a fullsize! #1) I don't want or need a fullsize! #2) I would rather have a loaded midsize/small truck, then a stripped down fullsize!!! I Love my Tacoma, it's the perfect size...
