Fall meet @ Black Mountain Off Road Park, Harlan Kentucky

I've been to the off road park a total of 7 times. We stayed at a motel in Benham (Town very near Putney trail head) 2 years ago. Never a bit of trouble with the locals. I've heard rumors about the rural areas of Harlan County, but the park itself seems to be immune to the problems. What...

    2014 Tacoma Nothing but Junk

A hole in the radiator and you NEVER noticed anti-freeze leaking? And with that, unless someone from Toyota stopped by and knocked a hole in your radiator, why would THAT be their fault? BS meter on full alert.

What is the best 2-3" Lift Kit and Biggest Tires I Can Fit on my 18 Tacoma?

Not all brands of tires are consistent ride quality through size ranges...What I mean is, I've had some 285/75r16's load range E tires that ride better than others. My Cooper STT PRO 285's ride better than the Goodyear 265/75r16 load range C's I took off. Some of that is tire design. Also...

Fall meet @ Black Mountain Off Road Park, Harlan Kentucky

I organize a Tacoma meet/trail ride/camp out @ Black Mountain ORP on the last weekend of October every year (well, past 3 years anyway...) This year will be #4. Trail ratings run from beginner (Green) to Blue (Intemediate), Red (difficult) and Black (Extreme) Last year we had 52 trucks...

    Post your truck off-road

So.... Beautiful afternoon. I decided to wax my truck. Cleaned it and waxed....3 hours of hard work. Once done, I go in and take a shower. Then I walk out to admire my work.... It's pouring down rain.

    Post your truck off-road

A "local" who hangs out at the gas station where I trade tells me those skewps add over 100 hp. His 2017 Tacoma was one of the rear axle failure trucks. He says it broke from "too much power".

Call me old fashioned....but I'm not a huge fan of all the traction-nanny equipment. My 2011 has A-Trac...It gets turned off when I go off pavement. I want to drive the truck....not hand it over to the computer. YMMV

New guy looking for interested Tacoma owners in Indiana/Kentucky

I plan on color matching the surround on the black ABS grill as soon as weather allows me to paint. I'd prefer to keep the oem grill protected (in the box) for the time being.

    Hi I’m new

Howdy! Welcome! I'm fairly new here too (Yesterday!) Where are you located? I'm always interested in helping others "develop" their rigs. Here's what I did with mine. This can be you!

It's a 2011 truck. It's a TRD OR that came with chrome grill surround (which I liked BTW) it took a golf ball to the grill as I was driving past a golf course last summer. That grill is a new replacement color matched grill from Toyota. I have another grill that is an aftermarket ABS plastic...

Black Mountain park is all former coal mining country. The peak is the highest point in Kentucky. 2 great camp grounds at the trail entrances. Best is at Putney. (Just east of Harlan)

4-1/2 hour drive from Louisville, but well worth the trip. You can spend 2 or 3 days on the trails and never see 'em all.

At Black Mountain ORP in 2017, 2016, and 2015. There will be a 2018 photo soon! I'm new to the forum but an old timer on the trails. Bought my first 4wd in 1973. Very partial to the Tacoma's. Looking for more like minded off roaders in the Southern Indiana/Central Kentucky area.

Howdy! New to the forum! I live in Kentucky now, just minutes south of Louisville. Originally from Indiana. I'm scouting around for interested off roaders in the 2 states. Feel free to reply! I host a gathering at Black Mountain (Harlan Ky) at the end of October.

Howdy. Just joined. I'm a long time off roader who does some long distance travelling, but mainly stays within Kentucky and Indiana. My favorite park is Black Mountain in Harlan Kentucky. I host a Tacoma get together at Harlan on the last weekend of October. Last year saw 52 Tacoma's and...
