The transmission place told me the pullies needed to be replaced. I took it to my local garage and they said they were fine. At least this saga is over. Of course as soon as I had paid this bill my other car started grinding in the rear. Turned out I needed rear brakes and tires all around.

They replaced the alternator but not the pullies. Is it normal to replace them at the same time. They showed me the alternator. It was totaled seized and part of the housing broke off. The belt was also shredded

Finally got it back and it shift so much easier. There was another problem though. While they were testing it the alternator seized

2005 TRD with 210,000

At least it is not going to cost me anything more than time. This a second vehicle for me so the added time is not that big a deal.

Found out today that the used transmission they replaced the old one with that had 52,000 miles on it also had trouble with reverse. Problem is they didn’t find out until they had installed it.

2005 6sp manual with 205,000 miles. Lost reverse. Hard to get into first as well. Having a used transmission installed now. Ouch

Happened on my 05. I bought the part but I unplugged it and plugged it back in and that fixed the problem. The new part is now in my glove box waiting for it to happen again

The wear bars on my current tires are showing to the point where it is time to replace them. I do mostly road driving but in August I spend my time on gravel lumber roads in northern Maine. My wife’s Xterra has had three flats in the past two years driving those same roads so they are no joke...

So I ordered the parts, waiting for them to arrive. In the mean time the fan is now working. Maybe unplugging the resistor and plugging it back in may have fixed the problem.

Found the connector and it has he burn mark on it. Thanks that must be it.

The fan will only run on the Hi setting in my 2005 TRD Off-Road. Does this sound like the switch is bad or could it be something else?
