    Exhaust system

I was only able to measure from my tailpipe just after the contour of the tail end where it measured roughly 2-1/2" If its 2.39 at the in/out pipes of the muffler then i think i'll check with my muffler shop before purchase. I donʻt know how they install it whether its slipped into the...

    Brakes

Been doing research on brake upgrades. Been looking at EBC, Hawk, Power Stop, Stop Tech. Definately will be going with slotted rotors and ceramic pads but debating on brands EBC, Hawk, and Stop Tech are pricey. The only resonable priced one is Power Stop (china) for their kits. Iʻm trying to...

    Exhaust system

O1prerunner, i made the mistake of measuring the circumference of the piping. If you measure the inside top to bottom it should be 2.5 or 2-1/2" tubing.

    Exhaust system

I just seem to post questions in here and soon after find out an answer doing research on the net. Mag offers 2.5-3.0" in/out lets on their mufflers. When i measured my stock circumference it was 7-1/2" Other Taco forums discussed this matter and suggested the 2.5" so that is what i chose.

    K&N Drop-in filter

K&N AF installed. I noticed a difference in start up (disconnected the neg. On my Batt to reset) upon start up that famous high air sound is less, which subsides about 30-40 secs after, then in idle the "air" noise is no longer there. With the K&N in, that "air" noise on start up is way less...

    Exhaust system

Thanks Kona, do u know what i can expect cost wise from Kona muffler to just install a muffler and custom routeing? I dont do heavy 4x4ing to the point of fully tweaking my suspension so im not to concerned with shortening my tailpipe Btw watched your youtube vids, good ones. Been to any...

    K&N Drop-in filter

So my K&N air filter arrived and gonna install it soon. What concerns should i have with all this talk about MAF sensors needing to be cleaned because of the pre-oiled filter. Is there a mileage log i need to be aware of to clean this sensor upon installing? Ive read other Taco owners never...

    Exhaust system

Rajah dat. My SC guy was telling me they measure the sound decibels too now. I just got my SC a week before i lifted it. My tires stick out a mere 1-1/2" and the boys down at Island Performance said it might not pass next one. My trucks in the system now (stock) but i did tell my SC its gonna be...

    Aftermarket rear springs

Sent Alcan details of my needs and usage. I dont want the rear to ride stiff without a load so now im debating. Ive found these add-on's called Hell-wig helper springs. The ones for tacoma's are a simple install and each are rated at 750lb per spring. So an additional 1,500 load capability on...

    Exhaust system

Hey Kona, yup kamaaina. Probably see u too. About the muffler swap, i checked mine out and its a straight one-piece from the cat-back. Everything from that bolt on to the muffler is welded. I think its not a DIY swap. Gonna have to get the muffler shop to install. I like the idea of having the...

    Aftermarket rear springs

Prior to getting my 6" lift installed i considered purchasing aftermarket rear springs that can handle the loads i haul. Usually when i haul green waste its roughly 3-400lbs / camping gear plus my family 400-450lbs and now i'll also be getting a new steel bumper with tire carrier as well as a...

    K&N Drop-in filter

Whipper, the head meaning the entire intake system? If so i opted to that route with either the K&N or Trd. But want to keep it near stock too. Ive seen on youtube the power gains on the intake system but i dont drive like that at all. Im just hoping more air will flow internally when i need it...
