    Third generation BRAKE warning

Speaking of recalls, does toyota notify you if youre particular vehicle is affected by a recall or just assume you keep up with it on the toyota owners site? On my owners site it says mine has an open recall for the radar thing however I haven't received any official notification by mail.

    Third generation BRAKE warning

I'm with ya on the dealer service stuff. The only time they will see mine is warranty work or recalls. Ive changed my own oil for 50+ years so no need in changing now. Air and cabin air filter replacement is a 5 min job for the two. I change mine once a year wether they need it or not.

    Hemmings Daily on Octane

If it would have had a 60's hemi in it it would have been one bad ass truck. Wasn't a slouch the way it was but technology was no friend.

    Hemmings Daily on Octane

It was a 2017 5.7. It had the mds which was crap. I didn't feel like investing 5k for a total delete and tune.

I hope not, I got rid of a hemi to get my taco. The hemi I had was the most finicky engine ive ever had.

2019 check engine & trac off

Google you're code and it will give you a list of things to check before you start changing parts. A lot of people think the code readers will tell you what needs changed, what they tell you is what system is throwing the code, then its up to you to trouble shoot that system and figure out whats...

2019 check engine & trac off

If it comes on again run by youre local parts store and have them see what code its showing. They don't charge you anything to read the codes and it will give you an idea what youre looking at. Could be something so simple that they can't find it.

New 2019 Tacoma Limited is calling my name.

That is a beautiful truck, no doubt. Check to see if the dealer has it advertised online and see what kind of price is on it for internet deal. Take that price and then deduct what you want for youre element and say this is the deal. They may not come completely down where you want, but if youre...

    Tonneau cover.. soft or hard?

Operationally some would be easy to remove, it would just be the size and weight that would be hard for 1 person to deal with. You might consider one of the hard roll up ones, ive never had one of those but in theory it might meet you're needs. In crude terms they are like a rollup door that...

    Tonneau cover.. soft or hard?

Depends on what youre needs are, security or just something to cover the bed that can easily be removed if you want to haul something big. Ive had both, and both have their advantages and disadvantages, so it depends on what you want. Even though some of the hard covers claim to be easily...

    Jaw drop oil change

I have also used a lot if Amsoil products with great results, ran it in my Harley for 50000 miles with no problems, cam chain tensioner shoes still in good condition. When I had my hemi ram Amsoil was the only oil that had acceptable performane in my opinion. My only concern is the signature...

    After market warranties

Extended warranties have a ton of loop holes in them, read the fine print. The one for the oil changes and tire rotation is a service contract, youre just prepaying for scheduled maintenance. The extended warranty part very well could state that all dealer recomended service needs to be...
