Front bumper not detached on 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the forum. Things to look for beyond fit and finish is the transmission and differential fluid levels and software update for shifting issued (make your dealership do it), loose U-bolts, u-joint grease zerks (dry); which you can do at home. Minor...

Ok, I'm not going crazy then when I noticed a big difference in mine too. Feels like a different truck!

    Tacoma Paparazzi

Haha... No! If I DID, I would find OTHER means of attracting the opposite sex or people to drink beer with - those wheels would only attract a very selective group of questionable human beings that I would happily avoid on a daily basis. I can only imagine how many times a day the person...

‘18 Taco, something to keep load in bed from sliding forward?

I just got the Tacoma rubber mat... It's the smartest $100 CAD I've spent yet on the truck. Nothing slides anymore. The dog was all over the bed before, now he stays planted, no problems. I only have to tie things loosely so they don't fall over.

2017 Toyota Tacoma transmission. Come on Toyota!!

I dont get what your so upset about. It's cruise control. I've owned 3 3rd gen 4Runners, a Corolla and now a 3rd Gen Taco. They all hunt for gears in CC, especially on hills, regardless of elevation. To me it's a Toyota thing. Could be worse, my wife's Hondas have just straight up turned CC...

    Trans, Diff and U-Bolt issues

After all this, I feel like drilling a hole in the side of mine and making one. Now at the maintenance intervals, I need to make sure the tech does the same procedure [emoji849] what a time consuming process. Standing an waiting for the transmission to get to the 'perfect' check temp, the...

    Trans, Diff and U-Bolt issues

Update on the Transmission and Diffs... Yesterday the lead mechanic at the dealership took the time (2hrs) to complete the FULL procedure, with the right tools (vacuum tools and calibrated straw with Techstream giving temp readings). They also filled both front and rear diffs. Here is the...

    Trans, Diff and U-Bolt issues

Yes, this was discussed with some friends, and you've brought up a good point too. I will be leaving everything as is so that the dealership can witness it for themselves since they say they've never seen it. Once I have documentation from the dealership I will be calling corporate and opening...

    Trans, Diff and U-Bolt issues

Hey everyone, I just picked up my new 2018 Tacoma TRD OFF-ROAD (Texas built) on July 21st 2018 with 7KM on it (Canadians Eh). Here's my fluid report thus far: - Rear diff, LOW - Transfer case, OK - Front diff, LOWER than the rear, to the point where my pinky was shoved in to the point of...
