Common sense for you guys, I wouldn’t have wiped it off honestly until I read that lol. I have a lot to catch up on lubrication and torque spec wise.

Can I over lubricate? I did some googling and said 4 pumps; but if it was done 1k miles ago and I put 4 pumps would that mess up the pressure or throw anything off?

purusing my owners manual and looking at other threads. How often should this be done? And is it possible to over lubricate it? I’m the second owner of this truck and I’m not sure the last time it was lubricated. And it seems like an easy DIY

Not yet, I’ll check it myself or per their recommendation. I should be ok for a while bc the most non pavement driving I do at this point is a 1.5 mile unpaved road to and from work

About the “ho on coke test”? They said they didn’t have the proper equipment to perform the test. Nor would they take my word and cited that it would be an issue that the technician would have to replicate in person with the proper equipment.

Thanks man; the amount of reassurance I need when it comes to aftermarket truck parts I’m sure will dwindle with mileage and ownership.

No. I just spoke with a service advisor apparently it’s just called a “bounce test”. To save anyone the hassle of asking for the wrong test when you call the Toyota service center.

are shocks the type of part that need to be replaced regularly at a specific mileage interval? Or only when they fail? I want to maintain my truck with stock suspension but cost is also an issue. Thanks

Truthfully I’ve never cleaned one before and just now googled it. That combined with cleaning, drying,and oiling of the filter...I change my mind

How do you wash and re-oil these things? Where do I get the oil and cleaner? I’m considering buying one for the long haul.
