2016 Toyota Tacoma 2 inch lift kit

Assuming you are 2” front lift as well, DO NOT use lift blocks in the back. Add a leaf or purchase a 2” lift spring pack. Add a leaf will squeak a bit as the suspension flexes, a properly built new spring pack will not. Blocks torque the springs and will eventually fail, require constant...

    2010 Tacoma

Had the same problem on my 13, drove me crazy. After months of tracking it down, turns out the wire to the sensor was stretched and made intermittent contact in a cracked connector inside the fender. Changed the wire and all good. And by the way, no code was ever tripped.

    Cowling Intake

Has anyone moved the intake from the fender to the cowling? I am currently looking at moving it and do not see why it can’t be done. I hate the snorkel...

How many miles have you gotten out of your bfg a/t?

I consistently get 55k out of the BFGs, only tire I will ever run. However, I drive ALOT. My 05 has 300k and my 13 has 112k. I did try a set of Toyo MTs and got 17k out of them, yet my AT or MT BFGs consistently clock far better mileage. But please note: I run the recommended LOAD pressure...

2005 and up Access Cab and frame

I am looking for an Access Cab and Frame, 2005 and up for a 1450 project. Just Cab, doors and frame. Must be prerunner or 4x4. So if you have wrecked one, I do not need much. It will be getting an LS6 power plant and a spare Currie I have here at the house. If this sounds like a good home...

    2019 TRD PRO

I take my Baja everywhere, duning, Desert, mountains...use the piss out of it, already 111k on it and I still would never run a snorkel...can get cleaner air just moving the intake out of the fender and onto an actual functioning hood scoop. A lot of the guys racing them put the intake in the...

    Transmission I hate it

I don’t get the issue with the 6 speed manual. I have the manual in my 05 (300k, no issues, one clutch at 299k) and the auto in my 13 (100k). I don’t trust the autos, never have and keep a spare tranny in the shop, but never an issue with the 6 speed. What gives?

2018 Tacoma safety sensor =No lift??

They have a TRD Pro in the ‘18, so lift, at least to 3”, is not an issue. Toyota does not want the liability, that is a joke, 2017s and below don’t have that crap. This is like my Traction Control delete. Someone here will come up with a fix or turn it off. Took a while but I got a TC delete...

Clunking noise turn left and right

I know this sounds stupid, really stupid, but do you have an aftermarket front bumper? So...my story... I built my bumper and had no issues for about 3 months. Then noticed a clunk in the front end. Checked it all out myself, replaced a few items (including both CV shafts) and still there...

    Wheel spacers

There theoretically could be a slight lowering of mileage, no different then buying a different offset wheel. Wider = more wind resistance. However, I liked my stock Baja wheels and chose to add spacers rather than buy a new set of wheels. I noticed no difference. I also do not recommend the...

    2014 Tacoma Nothing but Junk

Having dealt with Toyota corporate for years, a couple of phone calls to the regional manager about his problems with the issues and the dealer itself would have been resolved. I have owned most manufactures and Ford and Toyota have been far and above the best to deal with on new AND USED...

Breaking ABS Issues? After 6" Lift

First step, VSC. If that does not cure it, then replace the front ABS sensor wires (wires only). They probably got yanked when they took it apart and now there is an open wire at a special place when you turn. I had this same exact issue on my 13 after I installed my lift and I am embarrassed...

    Traction Control

To be perfectly clear...truck stopped, do the 5 second trip to shut off in 2wd, drive away, as soon as you hit 30 mph, traction control turns back on. I have the rear locker bypass to turn on as I choose, and in high range, at 30 mph, it turns back on. I did pull the fuse, again, and as soon as...

    Traction Control

And it is dangerous when I'm drifting...tries to straighten the truck when I am sideways in the corners...almost rolled the damn thing...not natural to have the passenger activate the brakes...lol

    Traction Control

Yeah I push to deactivate and it lurks...at 30 it comes back on. I will pull the fuse again, but last time I tried that it put the truck in limp mode. I will try the ABS trick if the fuse deal does not work this time...it says TRD Off Road, why the hell not have a high speed disconnect? Just...

    Traction Control

Does anyone have a clue as to how to disconnect the traction control completely? I have been working on this for some time now and shutting it off at the switch is bypassed as soon as you exceed 30 mph, which is dangerous as hell when drifting on corners. Frustration has now set in, so please...
