Very easy on a second gen I think it was like 2 bolts and 4 clips to get the whole grill off Then about 12 screws to separate the grill and surround

Could also be caused by rims being too wide for the tire.

Was looking at buying new tires, and I’ve been told BFG’s have had some “separting” issues.

Tire size would work - but I wouldn’t mess with the adapters. For the same price of those adapters - you can buy a proper set of wheels.

Would it make a difference if he was older? IMO - doesn’t matter if you’re 16 or 60... if you want to do it and can afford to do it... then go ahead And it’s SO much easier when you don’t got mortgage payments, or kids or other responsibilities
