    overdrive gear ATM - A340E A340F

Personaly I think the 3rd gen Tacoma has the worst operating AT I have ever owned. Shifts too quickly from 1 to 4 on take off, especially irritating when making a turn from a stop. Doesn't like to downshift when I want it to. And slight shudder (feels like in too high of a gear) when cruising...

That was something else I was when trying to narrow down why some are like this. How were they broke in? I did mine exactly like the owners manual says. Sounds like you did too, so I guess that theory is out.

They checked the ATF level and it was fine. They even drained it and replaced it (supposedly). What Tacoma do you have and where was it Made? Mine is 23 TRD OR / double cab / short bed / made in Mexico.

Nothing unusual. Service tech said it sounds and feels like a torque converter issue to him. I should hear back from Toyota Wednesday. Let you know what they say

My tacoma drove better when I first got it. It started feeling bad around 7000 miles or so. But yes, I do know it needs more time now to adjust since it was reset. We shall see. More miles closer to no warranty:confused:

So no, still seems to be driving the same. Toyota did call me on my way home and the guy I’ve been working with there said to give him a few days, he has field tech he wants to contact about it. He wasn’t satisfied with what the dealer told me.

Just got a call from dealer. Toyota told me on phone last night they were still waiting on the field rep. After market tune made it better, not fixed 6. Quit crying 7. It’s a truck not a sports car The biggest problem to me are the...
