If you've learned anything about hard shell coatings, they can chip. Imo, those semi soft waxy coatings that are petro based are best. Anything lanolin wash's away too quick needing constant attention if in a region with lots of slush, and rain.

Thats the type of crap that cures with a hard shell I've seen chip. Once that occurs moisture gets underneath and spreads rust. I'll stick with my cosmoline. Been nearly 6 years with zero rust. This year so far has been brutal.

Have no clue who you mean...this John guy has a new 2026 gen4 sr tacoma, and has been on the tw gen4 page crying sour grapes on multiple threads. Idk, if I can enter tw, or not using my new smart phone, that way I don't have to rely on what others tell me.
