You going to make a trail toy or is it a daily?

My truck definitely doesn’t go anywhere fast.. haha especially since I put these heavy tube bumpers on.. I have the same fuel mileage as a full-size truck. [emoji37]lol

Anything I should know about the 2.7? Any maintenance recommendations? (Ball joints? Etc.) Did you have any repeat issues?

Haha, man I love this old truck!! I bought it stock with 140k miles. It’s a 5speed 2.7 (bulletproof engine) about 6 months ago. I wanted a toy to fix up and wheel trails. It will be my sons one day when he turns 16. I’m planing on doing much more to this rig!

Thank you! I’m working on it some more tonight. I’m installing the trail gear rear tube bumper tonight after I install the Daystar 1” body mount lift. I fabricated some tube steps that I’m going to weld onto the rear so it has a step into the bed like a traditional bumper has.

This is neat! I have a 04. I’m interested. Can you post more photos of the set up? (Photos of the welds, basket itself, D-ring tabs, etc.) Besides trimming the lower rubber, is this built for straight bolt on aplacation? No welding or drilling? Thanks
