Seems a little low since they have to blend the rear door and fender as well as replace the running board. But depends on the cost of the used door they found.
I do estimates for insurance. That door us a gonner. It likely bent the reinforcement bar in the shell and is not safe. Also that outer panel would need a good 10+ labor hours to repair which is going to be more than a new door.
I installed those exact dogs in my 2nd gen. Been a year now and still work fine. Easy to install. Hardest part was getting the switch installed. If you use the switches by your left knee they are the easiest to get to.
What this mofo said. My phone will show charging but the port is really meant to connect to the radio for data like updates. There isnt enough power to charge it up like a cigarette port
Just installed the aftermarket radio. Wasn't that terrible. Just get adapters for everything so I don't have to cut and a new center piece and fits like a glove.
I tried once to get to those switches. They are a real pain. You have take almost the entire front end apart. It's easier to get to the switches by your left knee if there are free spots there.
So I am thinking of lifting my taco in the spring. I saw some kits that lift the front 3" and options for the back 2 or 3". I have worked on cars for a while and am good with tools so have no worries of installing them myself. Just wondering if anyone has used one of these kits? Brands you...
No mods. 2.7l 2015. Not causing any issues and only does it actually when I start it up. After it runs for a minute or so in idle it sounds like something sucks in a big gulp of air then stops.
My 2nd Gen makes a sucking noise on startup and shutdown from under the hood. Sounds exactly like air is being sucked in somewhere and then stops. Anyone else have this issue? No driving issues or startup issues.
