    Tacoma World vs Tacoma Forum

Certainly not. If you look at my post history, it was helpful and calm. Only when I tried to have some fun did I get into trouble. Indeed, I used a "bad" word, which is why I got banned; but, as I clarified in another post on here, I didn't realize that word was really so bad until after I...

? CAT - how to test the Cat

Get a live data reader. Monitor the O2 sensors. The upstream (pre-cat) O2 sensor will fluctuate wildly between 0 and 1 volts; that is normal. The downstream (post-cat) O2 sensor, however, should remain stable with little variation and, IIRC, should be roughly 0.4. If the computer senses...

    Factory Batteries

Have it tested with a load meter, and install a voltage meter in the cabin; that way you can monitor the health and know when it will soon die.

    Factory Batteries

My bet is that the mechanic(s) either did not test the battery or simply used a multimeter instead of a load meter — the latter being way more precise. Now that you have a new battery, test the alternator. It’s probably fine but give yourself a sense of security. It only takes 15 minutes or so...

Y’all have brought up Tacoma World in every thread I’ve been on. It’s getting old.

Wiring diagram for LED headlight conversion

They are expensive but check out the JW Speaker 8910 Evo 2's, fellas. They have heating technology specifically for melting ice. I learned about them from lurking on trucker forums. As a disclaimer, I have a rare genetic condition which impacts my vision at nighttime. Consequently, I do a lot...

Wiring diagram for LED headlight conversion

There are plenty of LED headlights designed to deal with that problem, e.g. JW Speaker 8910 Evo 2’s. Regardless, OEM halogen headlights have this problem, too, so I am failing to see your point.

Wiring diagram for LED headlight conversion

There are countless threads online about 4656 to H4 LED headlight conversions. Usually, those threads make two recommendations: swap pins two and three in the OEM headlight connector; invest in one of the many conversion kits from Amazon, Summit, etc. Those threads usually clarify that the...

I have a ton of parts laying around my apartment

So, what’s the deal with this supposedly broken Taco? Sounds like there is a thread I haven’t read yet.

If that’s a fact then I accept it; but I thought it might be a clever way of relieving engine bay temperatures on the highway with more airflow. Maybe not?

    Tacoma World vs Tacoma Forum

This is actually what happened to me. The post which got me banned was locked so, sadly, I can't reference it; but we had a lot of fun on it. I had multiple members message me to say that I made them laugh hard. I thought that was a little odd but my theory is that your average TW user is bored...

I have a ton of parts laying around my apartment

I have a 1997 with a 3RZ and 4x4 with a w59 MT. I have all sorts of OEM parts laying around . . . Exhaust manifold with about 500 miles on it, bench seats, air induction. Just ask me if you need something. I also have a brand new Trail Gear Rock Ripper cold air intake. Completely unused and...

Thoughts about re-gearing and locker configurations

I share your surprise. The truck came with 225/75R/15 tires and 15" wheels which is quite large for a 3.58 ratio. Not really sure what else to say.

Thoughts about re-gearing and locker configurations

My truck is 4 wheel drive and came that way from the factory along with a 3.58 gear ratio. If there is something I don't understand then let me know; but every axle decoding chart I have seen explicitly states that B02A corresponds to 3.58 and I have yet to read anything which says the contrary.

Thoughts about re-gearing and locker configurations

I found this source with twenty seconds of searching online: https://www.toyotanation.com/threads/differential-code.1339385/ There are literally hundreds of other sources as well including official and unofficial ones. Incredulity is not evidence.
