Got it all together, still makes a chirping to grinding noise when I put the clutch in.

****in with the tranny in the front yard today, guys at Martin Crawlers pressed the release bearing on the collar for me. Got that in, hope it stays. and the pressure plate back on, needs to be torqued to spec, 80ft lbs. Got a friend coming over later to help put the tranny back in.

Haha... The tranny did not crap. It was a clip on the release collar, i have been updating another post in maintenance titled clutch 82 5spd 4x4. Not nearly as funny. But i did yank a tranny in my front yard with all my might and it finally came.

Ordered the clutch release collar, bearing and 2 clips from marlin crawlers.... Well time for beer.

It was the throwout bearing, actually probably just the small clip that goes somewhere. Great news, except can I get the release bearing and the other part attached, and the clip. All i can find is the bearing itself. I think I found one at a dealer in Sacramento. Does anyone know the name...

Pulling the transmission today to change the clutch and throwout bearing. Trying to rig up something to hold the transmission.

Got to look at it today, pretty sure it is the throwout bearing, trying to rig up a homade transmission jack. Probably going to slide the tranny back in an hour or so.
