    Loudest street legal horn

Now see, I think that sounding like a train (or a police car, or fire truck, etc) is not good. I personally feel that those should be illegal. If they aren't illegal then they are bad. Nobody should ever need to question for even a split second whether or not they are hearing a real...

    Loudest street legal horn

You're right. I had hoped to get an authoritative answer here, maybe even some discussion about it. I have done a Google search since and will stick with that direction as you say.

Wouldn't a boat horn be freaking awesome!

    Loudest street legal horn

I routinely hear motorcycles that are louder than the stock horn on a most cars. On the other hand, my stock honda accord horn was LOUD. No time to learn where local laws are or to find them or to read them or to interpret them. That's why I ask, in case anyone happens to know already...

Wind noise in 2008 access cab

Oh, and be careful not to put anything anywhere where it might cause a problem like overheating, fire, etc, etc.

Wind noise in 2008 access cab

Had an idea. Why not try testing by taping areas, or stuffing insulation in holes? All very temporarily just long enough to test. Try an area. Remove it and try another. When you find the actual area, proven when you don't hear the sound, then at least you'll know exactly where it is...

    Loudest street legal horn

Anyone know what the loudest street legal horn is that I can install instead of the stock horn?

Does 89 octane save, and is 93 octane even better?

Just got my first 23 mpg on a tank. Half highway and half city. Half steep hills.

What is the tendancy for roll over?

You mean, like this? ... Dodge Ram SRT 10 Burnout and Roll Over Crash - YouTube :w00t: .

    Beware where you buy parts!!!!

Perhaps, after a person's experience with a brand is 100% fail (plus damage to the vehicle) compared to 0% success, then possibly they are disenchanted with the brand? I don't know. Just guessing. Perhaps, the $5 refund, or whatever it is, didn't heal the pain? I would personally...

    Water spots

As a chemist, I'm wondering if the water spots are either from i) hard water deposits, or ii) water damage to the paint coating? Could be either, I suppose. Maybe try the 'lime away' first to find out if it's hard water deposits (test on hidden safe area) before grinding away half of...

Wind noise in 2008 access cab

I have heard what i think you're talking about, but only when I'm driving 75 mpg and there is a 30 mph cross wind. I do sometimes hear an annoying whistle that seems to come from the front somewhere, when I'm at about 60 mph. It will last for the whole trip. But only on some trips. Odd.

    RUST issues?

Maybe ask him how the paint can look like it's one year old, while the chassis looks like it's 80 years old? ------ Edited to remove second statement that was even more sarcastic.

Does 89 octane save, and is 93 octane even better?

Well, guess what? I have finished my experiment with running a few tanks of high quality gasoline in both 87 and 93 octane. I will put the data together in a table to share here. I find the results to be fascinating and compelling!

Does 89 octane save, and is 93 octane even better?

15 mpg is ridiculously low. I'm getting up to 22 mpg in my 4 cylinder 2013 4x4. I have trouble imagining that the 6 cyl would penalize so hard? Shouldn't matter that much on flat highway. Unless you modified something or are hauling something really wind resistant and/or heavy? --- edit...

How would you redesign the next Tacoma?

First the don'ts ... Don't change the size for obvious reasons. Durability and the ease of maintenance (e.g. don't have to pull engine to change spark pugs) are two things that make these trucks so valuable. Don't change either. The changes ... Put in heated mirrors and seats. Crying...

What is the tendancy for roll over?

Yikes. I can totally see me doing that under dire circumstances. One of the things I picked up with cars is that when everything is lost, frikken lock em up. Put your foot through the brake and bleed speed as fast as possible. Sometimes a half second thinking trying to hang on can hurt ten...

Downshifting causing transmission wear vs brake wear?

Can you do that with an automatic transmission?

Wind from open driver's window is brutal.

That solved it! But ... if both the driver and passenger windows are down then it doesn't work. The passenger window has to be up. Rats. Wish I had rear windows to roll down. In good weather, and some bad weather, I like to have every window open that will open. This is the first thing...
