    Clutch problems?

Today out of nowhere I started having trouble shifting into gear. Pushing the clutch pedal to the floor just wasn't far enough to disengage the clutch. It has fluid in the master cylinder but it's nasty lookin. Would the problems I'm having be the slave cylinder or the actual clutch?

Was just curious. The previous owner says he has put 3 pumps in in the last year or so. So I wasn't sure if the pumps had an over heating issue or if the guy just didn't know wtf he was doing.
