bchurch - same. I thought Toyota was the brand to beat. I will be surprised if this 16 taco makes it to 100 K miles without a major breakdown. My plan was to buy it and drive it till it dies. Now I am thinking I will unload it in about a year.

Got mine in the mail too. It will have to wait a couple of weeks.

Right...never got the metal tag for the tailgate key either. But they resolved the issue and I now have the keys, the tag and it's all good

Uh...no...the issue is for people who have the push button start...if you have an ignition key there is no problem opening the tailgate.

So when my truck was delivered, only received two key fobs - no tailgate key. I thought maybe they had left it somewhere in the vehicle so after searching all of the nooks and crannies, no key. Called the dealer where I purchased (they were very helpful and got on it right away) but discovered...

I gave it to them as well and was surprised I never heard anything at all from Toyota. I thought someone might contact me to get more info.

Backing into my garage, I let it run at just idle as I get close to the back wall. Often the engine will give a surge and I have to keep it from lunging into the wall. Doesn't happen all the time - it is sporadic.

I have experienced all of the same frankiep and scotte. Identical experiences. And yes, people think I am messing with them when I have to "get into it".

Don't want to spend too much. Any recommendations are appreciated. 2016 crew trd sport 4x4 short bed.
