Hm, first thing that comes to mind would be the battery itself. Does the starter turn over fast or? Perhaps it's shot and overloads the alternator by constantly trying to supply a high amount of amps. Or it's old maybe the alternator windings are just about shot.

So far I'm undecided although I've got less than 200 miles on it. If I can get familiar with the entune, get to the steering wheel buttons, setup syncing with iPhone 6 it could grow on me. I'm having issues concentrating on other things till this is done.

I disagree. If your driving on solid snow or ice leave it in 4x4. If the snow covering is spotty or just light slush leave it in 4x2. In either case adjust your speed appropriately. Weight in the bed is a good idea.

That would be an interesting conversion. Things that come to mind first would be weigh so don't forget upgrading your leaf springs and etc. A Cummins 3BT (like some mail trucks use) weighs 550 lbs I want to say, and the drive train. There is no way a stock setup would withstand the torque.

I'm looking for a set of those black rims myself. Anyone in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky want to swap?
