01 Tacoma left blinker accelerates when applying brakes

This one is tricky, as my driver side blinker is on and applying the brakes it accelerates, but the passenger side acts fine. I have no out lights I'm so confused

Usually that hyperflashing is caused by a bad relay. I am not sure how it is connected to the brakes, and whether it is connected at all. But I would check the relay.

Perhaps the relay is going bad and the (even small) amount of load on the electrical system from the brake light is causing it to flash too fast

Have you upgraded to LED lights?
