2014 tacoma diff oil change

I wanna change my rear diff oil I heard 75w 90 is the way to go.. I was thinking of royal purple will that last the lifetime of the truck if I use that brand? And is the other diffs the same fluid like the front and transfer case?

Yes they all take the same. I would never leave any fluid in the life of the truck. I think Toyota calls to change them every 30k

Diffs and transfer case use the same fluid. There is no such thing as lifetime oil.

I get like 7 quarts total. I fill until it comes out of the fill port.

Toyotas stupid ass took years to admit that in the auto trans tho. I wonder how many ppl believed them, all the way up until the trans **** fritter stones well past the warranty.

Just snug them up. The housings are aluminum so if you apply gorilla torque you will strip them.

Remove the fill plug before the drain. Also watch for those copper crush washers. You’re supposed to replace them every time you take a plug out but I don’t. They are cheap though.

I always replace the washers on my plugs when changing the oils. Helps me sleep better.
