2016 SR5 Fuel Pump?

So, I went to the store this afternoon. Backed in the garage like I always do and went in the house. Just before bed the wifey went in the garage for something. She called me out there because she heard a strange noise coming from my truck. I went out and walked around the truck to find the noise. I narrowed it down to near the driver side rear wheel well area. My guess is for some reason the fuel pump kept running after I turned the truck off. I started the truck and shut it off and the noise stopped.

Has anyone else ever had an issue like this?

Normal. It's the evap system purge system. It purges the charcoal canister of vapors.

Odd that this is the first time I've heard it in the 3 years I've owned the truck. Thanks dravnx.

Never heard any weird noises come from my truck yet, even after parked for several hours. You'd think i would have noticed it the day i was rust proofing the trucks undercarriage for several hours.
