Hey guys been out for awhile but here I am with my first issue. So I attempted to change my oil today. Let me just say I would have rather shot myself in the foot fight the polymer oil filter cover I suppose. It was so ungodly tight a torque wrench at 148lbs wasn't good enough to even budge it. So after about two hours I located a larger torque wrench set the weight to 160lbs. And locked my legs in the under frame said ever curse word I knew and them some.. at last finally it moves about a 1/8 of an inch then stops ok so I pull the wrench off to line up again and too my utter disbelief small droplets of oil start to emerge from the side of the casing [emoji31] so now I've cracked the polymer casing to the oil filter. So I guess what my question is has anyone else went through that kind of hell to Change your oil? Also who the hell torques a polymer oil filter case to 160lbs? So come Monday I suppose Toyota and I will be having a nice chat any advice I can take with me to the dealership so this one doesn't get turned around on me. Sorry for the messy message I'm still laying on my back in the wet grass wondering what in the hell just happened
