I will make any required, or suggested, design changes before I advertise these in the for sale group. With well over 7000 sales to previous gens, and other vehicle makes, I have always received positive feedback. If ratings are substandard then I will not move forward with this new product.
History: I was never comfortable in the front seats of my 1st 3, out of 6, Toyota Tacoma/pickup trucks (1987, 2000 and 2008). I previously, or concurrently, owned full size Ford trucks (had 14 of them) with mostly captains chairs, which were super comfortable. When I bought a new 2016 3rd gen I was getting lower back pain on the 4 hour drive home from the dealer (out of state). I took several road trips, within a 300 to 400 mile radius, over the next couple of years and every time I could barely stand up straight after sitting in that truck for hours. In late 2018 I made prototype seat spacers. 1st I made a 1" basic front set. They immediately made my 5'11" tall body hurt more. Removed them and tried the 1" rear ones. Butter. Most comfort I ever found in a Toyota. After posting my results and design, now in the 3rd and final version, I immediately was flooded with pm's on where to purchase. I bought new equipment and have been producing them since early 2019. That is longer than anyone else and my rear pocket style spacers are the best and safest design on the market. Not to mention 20% or more less expensive than the cheaply made stack of washers the big company makes. I have had these in my last 3 Tacoma trucks. My 6' tall son and my 6' tall neighbor also use them. I also have 3 Chiropractor customers. 2 are repeat customers, and they all support the benefit of stress relief to the lower spine.
Product: My rear bracket front seat spacers are fully machined, then hand polished, then bathed in acetone, grade 6061 strong aluminum. I put a light coarse polish on them because some prefer painting them black versus the bright metal finish. I also incorporated my 2nd/3rd gen SAF-T-LOK™ pocket into the 4th gen spacers. This helps to insure that, in the event of an accident, the spacer keeps the bottom of the seat from separating from the spacer. This is also why I only provide better grade 10.9 bolts that have a higher shear and higher tensile strength than factory grade 8.8 bolts. Your seat belts are already designed to keep you and the seat fixed to the floor. A full instruction sheet will be included with torque specs, step by step instructions and helpful illustrations.
