99 tacoma e-brake light

i have a 99 tacoma 4x4 with the pull lever e-brake, while im driving it will stay on, ill pull and push the lever back into place but will stay on. brake fluid looks good. any other ideas?

Check cables, fuses, electoral system.
I had the happen in an 82 the e brake cable needed adjusted. It wasn’t releasing the brake all the way and the light was staying on.
