I have a 2017 TRD Sport Access Cab and I've noticed that when I close either Access door, a "Bang" noise occurs at the point of the door hitting the striker or even when just swinging open. This same noise occurs when traveling over rough or broken pavement. I've figured it out.
The retractable seatbelt "Tongue" for the front passengers on the Access door hits against the "Hole Cover" on the interior plastic panel when the door swings or closes - making the noise. Solution? Cut a 1 1/2" x 2 5/8" Velcro rectangle using the "Loop" side, place sticky side down and adhere against the Vinyl "Hole Cover". Banging/Rattle gone.
