Am I getting ripped off?

Hello,

I am in the process of buying a used Tacoma--really want a truck that I can afford that will also be reliable for years to come. I have taken out a loan to buy this truck from a dealer, but the KBB, edmonds, and other sites give me a lower figure than what I'm paying. However, the NADA figure is exactly what I'm paying.

This is my first vehicle purchase and I was hoping some of you finE gents and ladies could advise me a bit. Any info or advice is greatly appreciated.

So, is 9,000 too much for this truck? I've got the loan but haven't gone in to pay yet--I'll probably go in a couple of days. The Carfax says there was a "rear left back end" accident. I took the car to Firestone for a checkup, and told them what I was doing with it. They said they could find nothing wrong with it. However, I noticed that the shocks were maybe starting to go, as the ride was pretty bouncy. Please keep in mind that I know NOTHING about vehicles.

Never pay what they are asking. You can always talk them down. The one thing you have to remember is Toyota has a great resale value. And with just over 100k miles it's just breaking in. I had a 97 reg cab 4x4 and sold it for $4,000 with 285,000 miles on it. To answer your question your not over paying for a truck with low miles with it being over 10 yrs old. If it drives fine and you like it pull the trigger and go for it.
 
Awesome--thanks, man. The sticker price was 10,999, so I am paying the "cash price." (or so they say, heheh.) Everything I'm seeing from craigslist makes this seem like a decent deal. I am really excited--I've been saving for this thing for years.
