Android but I just bluetooth for Spotify and phone calls...
Used Android auto in wifey's Explorer... don't care for it or Apple Carplay... that's what she uses... I'll just stick to bluetooth and a charging cable... lol

Mine plays music, let's me answer the phone, and displays the Backup camera. I'm good with that.

Mines a 2009. The installation is pretty straightforward on any year these days. Just get on YouTube and watch some videos
