Backup Camera Alert Sound

Does anyone know if there should be a peep or some kind of sound as I back reverse too close to an object on my 2015 Tacoma Prerunner?
I've checked the owners manual I cannot find any information reference this. Do appreciate any reply and/or information provided.

You should hear a "BANG" when you are too close.

I suspect the answer is no warning. Suggest turning around to see where you are going. Rearview mirrors and rear cameras have limited view. They typically only see directly behind you. No vision to either side.
