Best Options for Windshield Replacement? OEM vs. Aftermarket?

Hey everyone,

I need to replace the windshield on my car and wanted to get some advice before making a decision. I've seen a lot of debate between OEM and aftermarket glass, and I’m wondering what the best option is.

Some shops are recommending OEM for better fit and clarity, while others say high-quality aftermarket brands are just as good and more affordable. I’m also concerned about ADAS (lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, etc.) and whether aftermarket glass can be properly calibrated.

For those who’ve had their windshields replaced, what did you go with, and how has it held up?

Any issues with leaks, distortion, or recalibration? Also, any recommendations for reliable installers?

For those who’ve had their windshields replaced Polaris RZR 900 Accessories, what did you go with, and how has it held up?

thanks in advance for any help

When the wife's prius windshield was cracked by a flying stone, we took it to an independent glass shop called Plymouth glass & mirror.. They installed a new windshield for roughly 1/2 what we were quoted for a toyota one. Been over 5 years now...no leaks or anything else. They did all the recalibration.
