I want an aggressive wide look but not to much. Thinking 18s but also not sure yes...looking for mostly performance but Also looks. What offset is reccomended? -6 or -12? Not wanting to trim much but want the biggest I can get
I have a 3" spacer and AAL lift and just put 285/75/16 = 32.8x11.2" BFG KO2 A/T on MB TKO wheels 16x8.5" -6 offset no rubbing no trimming and still could keep my mud flaps on my 2017 TRD OR DCLB. with that said I'm sure 285/70/17= 32.7x11.2" or 285/65/18 = 32.6x11.2" would fit. The bigger the wheel the smaller the side wall to stay around that 32-33" tire. The 285 is the width which is about 11.2". As far as the offset some people on here have said they have 0 offset and no rubbing some say it rubs.
Stock TRD OR wheels 265/70/16 +25 offset
285/75/16 with -6 offset:
The top of the tire
to the fender well is:
1.1" Closer
The inner sidewall to the suspension and frame is:
0.82" Further Away
The outer sidewall is:
1.62" Further Out
285/75/16 -12 offset:
The top of the tire
to the fender well is:
1.1" Closer
The inner sidewall to the suspension and frame is:
1.06" Further Away
The outer sidewall is:
1.86" Further Out
All these numbers are going to be the same for 285/70/17 and 285/65/18 but the top of the tire will be 1.05" and 1" closer to the fender well not 1.1" because you'll loose some tire height with bigger wheels.
I hope that helps some.
Good luck.
This helps tremendously.. and I changed my mind on the lift going with the king read something about the shocks of icon being stiffer at slower speeds than king. But thank you I appreciate it
