Coil spacers?

Every body says stay away from coil spacers and rear lift blocks, why I don't understand why? Can u crush them over time or what?

I have daystar spacers up front and blocks in the rear with no problems. With the blocks just try to get the angled so it does not wear out your u joints.

Top plate spacers move thw shock down. The shock can bottom out before you hit the bump stop and you end up with bent shocks.

Spacers that preload will make your ride worse.

Blocks in the rear add to the already bad axle wrap.

I really don't understand why people say that coil "preload" spacers are bad and then turn around and say that Bilstein 5100s with the spring seat locator moved up are good. Aren't they doing the exact same thing? Can anybody explain why one is any different than the other?
