Coolant Leak?? Cross-over pipe on 3.5l V-6

Anyone have this problem?? My 2017 Tacoma SR5 is at the local dealer waiting for repair. I was wondering if this is a common problem??

Maybe more common to that year. I understand toyota still is using that plastic crossover pipe, but haven't heard of issues leaking on newer 3.5 trucks.

Just got my truck back from the dealer. New cross-over pipe and o-ring gaskets. The cab had to be lifted off the frame to get access to this part. In all $1000 in total...

True!! Talked to the service/parts guy.. Toyota updated the cross-over pipe and o-rings twice (two different part number revisions). Maybe they will issue a recall?? Only time will tell.

You're not alone 2017 had this common issue. I believe it was redesigned in 2019.

Yes... The cross-over pipe was redesign or modified twice in an effort to solve this problem.
