So, I had no popping noises, or any other warning signs that something was wrong with my driver side door . . . Until the door check broke the shell. I realize a permanent fix is pretty $$$. Any suggestions out there, or knowledge of toyota having issues with this type of thing and covering the repair costs? Thanks. It's a 2008 taco I bought used with 85k miles and now has 145K miles . . . I take good care of it, and do not slam doors etc, so this was entirely unexpected.
