Early Check Engine

The check engine came on in my 19 TRDOR with 600 miles on it. Any ideas or just need to plug it up? Seems a bit early for issues.

I’d plug it up anyway to look for codes.

Did you stop pumping fuel once the pump shut off the first time or did you keep going trying to top it off?

Really shouldn’t “top it off” if your OCD about cents take it to the closes 10 and stop.

Take a few drives. You can reset it with a code reader.

Definitely never top off.

Yeah. Topping it off will do that a lot of the times. Not always. Just fill it til it clicks off.
I’d take a code reader and clear it. That’d drive me crazy. I keep one in the truck for reasons like that.

It’ll show you what the code is and you can clear it

You can always disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reset everything.

Than you lose the ECU learning for the tranny. That sucks. I’ve done it once. Don’t care to do it again.
