Hey everyone. I have a 2002 (bought new) Tacoma with 205K on the clock and no major issues until now. Just failed NJ State inspection with 'Catalytic Converters Not Ready' and 'Evaporative Systems Not Ready'. I am suspicious that it may have something to do with the fact that I very rarely drive the truck anymore and maybe it was sitting for too long.
Anyway, I am thinking that if I install a new Catalytic Converter that it may pass. I have noticed that the OEM converter costs over $1,000 but after market parts are far cheaper.
Anyone ever install one of these after market Cats? If so, which one and did you have any issues?
Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.
