From 0w/20w to Mobil1 5w/30 Extended performance

I live in Las Vegas where temps range mid 30's f, to 117°f. Oil cap says 0/20w, I feel that's way too light! Can I run 5w/30w, Mobil 1 seems better suited for our temp range. My Tacoma has a 2.7/auto and gets easy short in town trips. Thoughts, Experiences?

Everyone else here will say use 0w30.

I just couldn't do it no matter what, and almost pains me to use an oil as thin as 5w30 is.
But I have finally given in the last few years to using the thin 5w30 oil in some engines.
Please note that I do not own a Tacoma...so take my crappy advice however you want to.
